The warrior shown in Resolute Strength is wearing white paint along his hairline to signify purity of spirit. This was a common facepaint configuration, sometimes also accompanied by additional paint on the cheeks.
He carries a spear and shield; his shield is draped along the perimeter with red trade cloth. Such an adornment would also likely include trailers of cloth and feathers that would float in the wind.
His hair, blown by the wind, adds movement to this otherwise serene pose.
